A cocktail dress or evening gown is magical to wear, but I will always feel more comfortable in a trouser suit. You don’t have to negotiate getting in and out of a car, or spend the evening rearranging a neckline, or worry about someone stepping on your hem. You don’t even need to consider what coat to take. With a blazer, you don’t need one. 

Turn heads in colourful printed sets from Vassia Kostara or bright monochromes from Themis Z and CKontova. Those with a penchant for a dark palette should look to madame shoushou, Yiorgos Eleftheriades and Karavan, whose respective takes on suiting will ensure you’re the sleekest member of the party.
